An 82 year old woman with Parkinson’s has been fined for not displaying her disabled badge the right way up whilst asleep in her legally parked car. Instead of waking her and pointing it out, the warden issued a penalty notice. What a lovely country we live in.
Her appeal was, of course, rejected by South Lakeland Council a spokesman for whom dribbled out the usual recitation of rules and procedures all of which, of course, automatically result in the state being right, and common sense wrong.
